Pastor's Notes

Welcome to our vibrant St. Ann Parish!

Our parish was founded 50 years ago with similar excitement and enthusiasm that we share today. During this time, our presence in the Haines City area has been a focus for evangelization and service to others.

During this 50-year Jubilee celebration, we will participate in many events and activities, including an intercultural festival, a Marian Exposition in our gardens, Mass presided by Bishop John Noonan followed by a gala dinner, an XLT Concert, and more which we will share with you soon.

St. Ann Parish is a perfect place to gather as a family of God to glorify His name. We have a beautiful church that seats 1,075 souls, excellent music, lovely gardens, and a 15-acre orange grove, which is enhanced by our liturgy celebrated in English and Spanish.

This alive community participates in many different ministries, with generous people ready to help and assist not only our parishioners, but people who come to us looking for support. We have an intercultural community, languages and traditions, but we are one as we recognize the same God and the authority of Pope Francis and Bishop John Noonan.

Our sacramental program had more than 400 children who participated in the faith formation program. During this past year, our local St. Vincent de Paul, helped our brothers and sisters in need, distributing food to more than 25,000 individuals and providing temporary financial assistance to another 200 families.

For these reasons, I am delighted to be the pastor of this beautiful Church. We are: "A generous community with extraordinary faith." Come and witness that there is more than I can ever put into words.

I invite and encourage you to connect with the members and ministries of our parish community. I pray that you may find warmth, encouragement and spiritual growth in our parish, and I look forward to getting to know you personally.

God bless you,

Fr. Alfonso Cely
